Bird's Berry Nut Bliss
A recipe I concocted during one of my experimental baking sessions a couple of years ago. I brought it as a morning treat for my coworkers during a fun and fabulous week of PSSA testing last school year (ha, such fun). A few people requested the recipe, which is when I put together this page to share with them. I figured why not share it here, too....(Click to enlarge)

Ren Bench Adventure
I started my "Ren Bench Adventure" around eight months ago. The picture below (left) is not that great by any means, but it at least gives a general idea of what the bench looked like in its original state. I took the entire bench apart, sanded all of the portions, sawed the balls off (that does not sound pleasant) and... that is where it stands in limbo! I still need to sand some of the pieces a little more (darn). Sanding started out to be kind of therapeutic and slowly turned into a seemingly endless annoyance. Maybe I will make it a New Year's resolution to finish my bench by the end of 2016! Sheesh.

Update: The pics below show the bench in its current stage, completed back in June. I am not positive if this adventure is totally finished – contemplating more metal... maybe some buttons... possibly even some different pictures since the carpet is too distracting. Whatever happens, this is how the Ren Bench will stay for now!
Positive Affirmations - Display Art
The three pieces below now sit directly in front of my desk. It is almost unavoidable to look up without pausing to read one or all of the sayings, which has quickly gotten me into the habit of reading them each day. The particular image with the buttons includes some favorite scriptures from the Bible. No matter what chaos ensues in life, I continue to find comfort in the faith in God’s love that my father instilled in me.

Positive Affirmations - Collection Continued
I am not really sure who these are for! Perhaps I will scatter them around my house; or maybe I could give them away as gifts. Hmm… might be a good idea considering I am unable to buy Christmas gifts this year. So now the big question is – do I focus more on writing, or on making more gifts? I guess I will just do whatever floats by going wherever I am led.
